Planning status

Following the regional planning assessment by Regionalverbund Ruhr in winter 2022, the planning approval decision for the section in the Münster administrative district followed in 2025.

From the end of May to the end of June 2023, the project sponsor OGE organised a number of Dialogue Markets featuring themed stands and project maps to inform the public about the next steps in this project, and local citizens had the opportunity to talk to OGE and the project partners and gain further insights into the project.

Construction of the first section in the Münster administrative district is scheduled to begin in March 2026.

The planning approval process for the DoHa line section within the Düsseldorf district government is ongoing and is expected to continue until the end of 2026.
