„The trifactor for the future: net zero with natural gas, hydrogen and carbon management.“

The transformation in Germany is no longer a project of the future – it is happening now. In a geopolitically tense and economically unstable environment, we need practical solutions that bring together climate protection, economic growth and social acceptance to successfully achieve net-zero. Natural gas, hydrogen and carbon management are the three key building blocks in this process. But how do we combine them into a coherent whole?

We kick off with a surprising format: Rainer Holl's solo slam ‘Energy transition with molecules’. Here things are not only explained but also questioned. He takes a close look at our patterns of thinking – with humour, plain language and a new perspective. As an author, poetry slammer, coach and moderator, Rainer Holl is one of the most experienced speakers in the field of science communication and storytelling.

This will be followed by inspiring voices from politics and business:
  • Bernhard Kluttig
Head of Department VIII, Security, Gas and Hydrogen, Participations, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (requested)
  • Dr Kirsten Westphal  Member of the Executive Board, BDEW
  • Dr Thomas Hüwener CEO, OGE

Moderator: Marko Seiffert (radioeins / rbb Fernsehen )

When: Wednesday, 3 December 2025, from 6 p.m.
